Nice job, my only nit is that the strings step on the vocals in a few spots I'd do some careful automation. Sorry 4 your loss, you wrote a good song, I listened twice I like it. Also Automate the first guitar notes, try some reverb maybe.

Sounds great, that's a very loud master at about 3/4 thru the synths are pushing too hard for my taste and its borderline harsh. As far as ideas, the song is about dreaming so I hear some falsetto harmonies as a variation to the lead vocal. Overall its a stellar recording for a home recording.

Sounds good, It sounds a little slower than the original ? I agree that the main instrument being guitar makes it different, so I have to hear it with the vocals. I never build a track without a scratch vocal, this way I know how the instrumentation will sound against the vocal. Everyone...
