need to replace broken iPad. Anybody here using smaller sized tablets for daws?

I have the original iPad which you can find cheap. Used price currently ~$100 I'm sure the other os tablets are fine also. Great for so many things, but the best for me is portability. Don't know why it feels so much more portable than a laptop, but it does. Can bring an entire audio recording...

We are all familiar by now with the ribbons and condensers, Has anybody tried the dynamics? And not just the 57 knock offs. I looked around the other day and saw lots of different designs. I found them on non US websites sold under different names. Any thoughts?

ATR is considering making a hi fi 1mil tape if enough people are interested. I'm thinking the tascam 388 folks might be interested. You can write them directly. if you like, you can address Mike Spitz. maybe put 1mil in the subject line.

wondering what the tascam designers were imagining would typicaly pair up with the model 5, m-35, 388 etc. did they just assume the users would just have a couple a sm58's?

As opposed to cd burner, interface, etc. If so, do you feel it adds something ( besides a little bit more noise)

So i'm trying to make a fingerboard for a uke and was wondering if i could just use one of the extra guitar fingerboards i have sitting around if i just start the first fret farther up. I can slide them up and down side by side with my other uke until i find a spot where they almost line...

been thinking about getting, er, one. anybody care to comment on the mic? i called them, and they confirmed it was an omni. i like apogee stuff, but i get a kick out of companies with their marketing language sometimes. In this case it is " tuned aperture technology' whatever that means...

I just picked up a Tascsam 48 and unlike the the usual broken deck projects i seem to attract, it actually works straight off. Not much online info in general compared to the other tascam decks i've had. Been searching for a manual, but no luck. Any tips? thanks.
