Im mostly recording singing and rapping vocals

im using cool edit pro 2.1. and when i put effects on vocals how to i take them off..for example if i put a reverb on da vocal and i dont like it how do i take it off..this is my 2nd day using cool edit so imma little lost lol thanks for any help.

Im trying to add new vsts and ive unzipped the vst and put it in Program files>steinburg>vst and i pressed update vsts in cubase but they still dont come up. Also i have no idea how to shift pitch vocals up and down for the chopped and screwed effect. theres no pitch shift option in the process...
