If u are using software anywhere in your mixing, there is a WIKKED directX plugin called "hyperprism Quasi-Stereo" this will get a huge stereo sound, even on a mono vocal. another method is double or even triple your vocals, one loud front and centre, 2 more quieter and panned hard left.right...

I use it frequently to add little scratches here and there on my trax, you couldn't do a full on q-bert/x-men solo on it but it is good for small jobs. Also a HUGE advantage is being able to scratch your own material, also the latency is next to nothing... if u want to check out a track I used...
