OK, inserted disc, copied and pasted Fader Port.dll file to Cubase/Components folder. I get as far as [device set-up] - click on [+]- drop down menu drops but there's no [presonus fader port] there. No [USB audio device] to select for MIDI input and output either. Firmware claims to be updated...

Looking for the best bang for buck all purpose pre under $1k (till I can afford another). I was narrowing it down to a Great River but then found out about these DAV's which , with 2 channels, sound like a better bang for less. Would a lean and clean type pre like the DAV be good general...

anyone like these for tracking? I hear they favor the bass end. Maybe the 250 ohm versions would be better balanced for recording/tracking in general? Just bought these from guitar center but I'm wondering if I should exchange them for 250's.
