The only PSR's I used was years ago, and all presets sounded the same (if you know what I mean) and had those annoying hold one finger down on a note for a full ensemble with tacky drums and bassline. Have they moved on from there?
A friend of mine has asked me to find him a synth, for no more than £200 (GBP) less if possible, 2nd hand is acceptable.
He's mainly after a good piano sound, but others would come in handy.
I recommended the Yamaha SY85 off the top of my head, but it would be great for some other suggestions...
spot on, thanks for the splurge!
I think I'll go for the M179 this time. The cheapest I've found the M179 in the UK is £149 at andertonsonline. I could get it for about £100 from US, but 8thstreet do not deliver to UK :(
thanks. no i'm currently looking for a new place, but i'm looking at 'out-of-town' areas.
So you reckon that the 4040 would be better than the M179 in cardioid mode?
...and obviously if you can think of a better option in that price range, I'm all ears ;)
Which one would win in a fight? :D
I'm looking for a mic in this price range that would compliment a baritone male singer and acoustic guitar. The only weapon I have at the moment is a SM57.
I almost decided to go for the StudioProjects C4 matched pair purely for the acoustic guitar, but...
He's been mentioned a couple of times in this thread already, but I just have to have my say...
NUNO BETTENCOURT!
Yeah he was highly rated back in the Extreme days, but thanks to MTV and all that crap he doesn't get much a mention anymore, but man he's still such an amazing guitarist. Since...
I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Firebox and Firepod. I don't need the extra inputs at the moment, but might be worth having different inputs designated for different intruments etc to save swapping cables and less knob fiddling ...so to speak.
The RME is double the price of a...
Went for a shower, came back, and *boom* 2 messages. Impressive guys!
ok 2 reccomendations for the Firepod. Is it that much better than the Firebox? Is it only the fact it has more inputs, or is there more to it?
And if I was to get a seperate preamp, would you then bypass the pre on the...
Just a bit confused here...
I know a good mic and preamp is essential, as well as having good converters to get the sound into the PC. I also know that some decent audio interfaces do it all in one little box, but are they good enough for DECENT results?
Don't laugh, but I'm currently...
Thanks for the replies good people :)
I'm monitoring using a pair of Active Samson Resolv65a
I would like to focus on getting 1 killer input (I imagine a pair would be needed for some stereo recording?) and having an extra 4 or 5 decent inputs would be handy as and when others join in, or if I...
Hi all, I'm new here, and I've read so much here my brain is doing backflips. Great forum!
Well this is my current setup:
Decent PC running Cubase SX2 with a few plugins
Audiophile 2496 PCI card
Behringer Eurodesk 1604 mixer
Shure SM57 mic
As you can see it's very low budget, and I get poor...
