Well, I was very sure this was possible, and then for some reason I started doubting myself. Basically, I want to be able to utilize a mixer preamps, but then be able to externally mix tracks with plugins and editing already applied.

I built a 5E3 from Weber. It was a fun experience. All I can say is learn how to solder decently before you start, and know how to work with the high voltages. Always drain the caps and always make sure it aint plugged in. Heres a couple bad pics...
