  • Oh I know, you get touchy whenever I bag on the $0.90 Chinese electret capsules like those found in millions of telephone answering machines and also your Naiant mics (yes, made by you, Jon O'Neil - why not use a real name in all your online posts? Its like that cat Peter Bloch who re-brands mics as "Stellar" and never provides info about who he is. He is in fact a full time employee of Intel Inc. and never shows his real name in public so as not to endanger his day gig, but rather relies on gear pimps like his homey Kidvybes - another alias for a part time, retired salesman, to pimp his "Stellar" brand stuff), Sahimian etc mics then, shift the conversation.

BTW - I'm the first to admit Earthworks mics suffer from poor S/N ratio - David Blackmer was more interested in transient response than S/N when he started that company.
Hey man thanks for the birthday wishes... Haven't been on in some time. How ya keepin?
    Things are good man.
Got some new gear...an Aphex Aural Exciter that I got mainly for the name :p and some cables and an Iron Cobra hi hat stand (2 legs) to go with my IC double kick.
Picked up a couple more communicable diseases I've been tryin to collect and spent last night shaving my wife's back.

No, they are made to sit on your desk. I have a 500 version of one, the PT2, and I'm looking to sell these to buy another. These are the first pres I bought and got to say I was wowed compared to the pres in my firepod.
There are two True System P-Solo preamps. I heard some folks use them live as DI's. I use them mostly with my keyboards and for vocals. They are very clean sounding.
Well if you can move those preamps and the quadraverbs I'll cut you in for a 1/2 a percent. lol
The signature was a link to some kind of "Link Service".
I gave him/her the benefit of the doubt but it was probably a serious spammer.
I'm trying out the C2000 right now and doing some tube swapping with the Solid Tube.
I love taking advantage of the next few days after St Patrick's.
The hoarseness adds a different dimension to my vocals.
