Hi Graytar,
Sorry to hear you are having some problems.
Firstly, you'll need the latest driver from Focusrite.com (you've confirmed this). Once installed, you'll need to check the green USB light is illuminated on the unit - if not, you can try connecting to another USB port - we would...
Hey there,
Yes, it should be an identical setup as mentioned above - have you been able to try this?
It could also come down to the software you are playing back from it's settings as well as what your sending ADAT to. Are you able to ellaborate on your setup?
All the best,
Miles
Hi there,
Which version of Windows are you on? It may be worth checking our Answerbase for an optimization guide for audio to see if this helps.
There are a number of other things I'd want to look into here - are you able to email us directly?

Hi guys,
Interesting info above - thanks for sharing.
MoBettaBlues, if you have any concern about the condition of your pre-amps, please contact us and we can sort out a service for you and check over the unit to ensure its up to spec.
It would be useful to hear some examples of this noise...
Hi guys,
This one is a bit odd!
So you've got your analog inputs going into your 18i20. These then leave over ADAT into the 18i8?
Do these signals clip on the meters of the 18i20?
Essentially, if the signal isn't clipping on the 18i20 sides of things, it shouldn't clip once it's been...
Hi there,
Firstly, go to Mix Control>File>Reset to Factory Defaults
Secondly, click routing presets>DAW Tracking
Thirdly, go over to the Matrix on the right hand side - You will want to ensure that outputs 1-6 are blue and 7-10 are grey (line level out - Shift+click to achieve this).

Hi there,
Please go to Start>All Programs>Focusrite USB Control Panel>You should be able to change your buffer size in here.
Hope this helps :)

Hi P2C,
Is this noise on just your monitors or in your headphones too?
Are you using balanced or unbalanced cables?

Hi Trubster,
Speaking from the Focusrite side of things, the 2i4 is generally more suited towards guitarists - Simply because both inputs have a -10dB pad which is a really useful little feature if your guitar input is particularly hot/high.
Hope this helps! If you've got anymore questions...
Hi Harry,
I'd like to apologise to you on behalf of all of us here - Our website went down momentarily and left itself in a state of repair. Sorry about this effecting your Out-Of-The-Box experience. As you said, all fixed now and shouldn't happen again!
All the best,
Miles :)
Hey there Arniet,
At a guess without knowing what's on the other the end, most 5.1 users have a Saffire Mix Control setup like the image I have attached. How does yours look in comparison? Can I have some more detail or perhaps you can get back to me with a screenshot?
All the best,
Miles
Hi there,
Sounds like you need to have the input/playback control in the wrong place. If you set it to Playback you should hear just the Guitar Rig output. If you set it to input you should just hear your dry guitar input.
Let me know how you get on with it and if you need anymore help, feel...
