what video recording software do you use? I want to record myself during practices, one cam overhead and one on my feet then be able to mix in the audio from my daw later.
I never got rid of my first set of monitors. I still use them and a/b with my Morels. It is always nice to hear
things on different speakers. Like mjbphotos said, burn to disk and listen on many formats.
Just a thought, Try copying the track so you have a couple to play with. Try cutting all the gritty harsh mids out of one, low pass the other, high pass one, compress the snot out of one and mix them together panned all around. You may get lucky! At the very least, you may find the frequencies...
ive been a cubase user for years. and just got a used mac g5. so im excited to see how things work myself. I love cubase. i mainly record audio,(ie mic'd instruments) the midi stuff confuses me but i have been able to record some midi tracks. I'm don't know the other programs but i am a happy...
i've had my issues with the pops and clicks but have allways had a
presonus tech fix them, it was only when i made computer upgrades.
once its working, i love them.
two firepods
cubaseE4
i kinda liked the four mics mixed on a board and set to the interface as a
stereo mix.. on a budget, that could get a good mix. spend the money on
some good overheads, once the drum tracks are down, i rarely record more
than two tracks at a time
I use a Morley A/B splitter just for that purpose.
Channel a to guitarist trashy distorted amp, Channel B direct to my interface.
Added bonus, turn off the signal to channel A when he isn't paying attention.
Stats First.
Cubase E4
Presonus Pirepods
Alesis DM5 Drum Module with full drum set of triggers.
I have the Dm5 midi out connected to the Firepod midi in
I have an Instrument track with the input selected to firepod in.
Monitor button is on as well as record enable. Vst instrument is stereo...
By soundcard do you mean interface (FIREPOD) then yes
im using a Texas Instrument Firewire card that is just plug and play i thought.
I disconnected my PCIe video card to see if there was a conflict there but still
having cpu usage maxing out with only 22 processes running.
Priority for CUbase...
cpu usage at 100% again
12 tracks and i shut down all vst and its still up there.
new cpu, new 2nd hard drive to record to,
I'm missing a setting somewhere.
Everything plays and records fine so far but i've only got a few tracks.
I've been following this one since i have a similar problem.I have no anti virus to disable though.
Cubase E4
firepods
pentium 4 2g ram windows xp sp2
texas insrtument firewire card
2 internal hard drives. one for windows & cubase, the other to record to
In past posts, someone stated "Bad CPU"...
If that isn't a laptop, my computer guy said a second internal
drive was a faster connection from the cpu than an external one.
Plus i think they are cheaper.
