Hello, I've been trying to figure out if there is a way to record with an effect pre in cubase sl. Not an external effect that would run out from my firepod and back in to the DAW, but within the program. Has anyone been successful at doing this?

okay, great... i appreciate the feedback... so... um suggestions on the right direction to move in here. Like a decent place to get 703 or similar... they all look the same to me and I don't really understand the benefits of 703 vs. 705 for example. I've searched and searched... any thoughts?
