Thanks, I know all about the features and had planned to buy the Motu 4 since I do have a keyboard I like to use direct and this adds to the convenience. I feel bad mainly. Selling or returning an unexpected gift feels wrong. Perfect world I could exchange it but GC doesn't have the Motu 4...
Opinions?
I was planning to get a Motu M4 interface. I like having the permanent extra two inputs for my keyboard and the display etc. However I helped a friend get a new job and surprisingly he bought me a Volt 276 as a gift (great to have good friends).
I could return it but (1) seems rude...
I totally get what you're saying, I'm only doing this as a hobby, mostly for my own fun, no amount of good guitars is going to make me a good guitar player.
I am getting a new computer, I am not convinced that my UX2 is not showing signs of age, so maybe something simple like a mini fuse will...
Hi all,
Hobbyist, time for a new interface. I like both of these two.
Volt is twice as much but has the "cool" :) preamps etc
Minifuse has good software package but I own most of it already
Any opinions ?
And none of the above is relevant to me since I have a working UX2 without any issues :) (the reversible plug advantage has always made me chuckle, not least because I am not unplugging my interface. I'm not going to upgrade interface because of USB C, that's for sure. It'll will be because...
I've done well recently. Considering lots of new gear but buying nothing. I get overwhelmed by the options in instrument plugins and spend all day tinkering and not playing. For my family christmas present I am getting the Positive Grid amp, so that will be more overwhelment and toys :). I...
Thanks all.
PC does not have USB C so no major advantage there. Not sure what extra power really offers me.
I already own Analog Lab so that being included doesn't help either.
Seems like no advantage might be the answer.
What is the mic booster mentioned?
Just wondering if it's worth it? I just do home recording as a hobby. I've had the UX2 for years and it has no problems that I know about. However all these videos for volt 276 and MiniFuse get me thinking I should upgrade.
Will I really see any benefits?
Hey there, I am a simple home recorder with a question. Please keep that in mind when answering ;)
I have started having trouble with vocal volumes in my mixes. Typically if I get the levels right on one system, they are typically too loud or too quiet on another. For example a good monitor...
I'll take the risk :)
I'm a 100% just-for-fun home musician. I have been recording with a copy of a SM57.
A friend has recommended that even a $100 condenser would make a big difference to my vocal tracks, currently I have trouble when I get loud or high with the quality of the recording...
I'm not sure if this is a MIDI problem, soundcard problem or software problem so I'll start here.
I just got a new soundcard (Delta 24/96) and set everything up. I am recording using Acid 5.0, a MIDI Keyboard and Steinberg The Grand soft synth.
When I record the MIDI and playback the MIDI...
