I have Guitar Rig 4 Pro, and am considering upgrading to 5. Would like to hear any thoughts from anybody who has gone from Guitar Rig 4 to 5 about whats new and whether its worth the upgrade. If you had it to do over again, would you stick with version 4? Thanks in advance Jason

are you monitoring through the outputs on the FireBox or through the Xonar D1 sound card? You should be using the FireBox for both input and output when recording. monitoring through the Xonar D1 sound card would cause the type of latency you are reporting.

I agree with Sonixx and Guitargodgt Guitargodgt, I don't hear anything abnormal either. If your going through an Amp, try upping the mid and dropping the bass. It sounds to me like the bass is cranked up causing low end rumble. Jason

I understand the YMMV vary part, that's sort of why I was asking about the pros and cons of each of the mics. Why would you steer clear of the st31 and go for the audix? What about the audix is better suited than the st1?

How about thoughts on an Audix i-5 mic? They have one of those going for $40. Or Sterling Audio st31? they have 2 of those going for $40 each.

OK, Thanks for the info, sounds like i'll be giving the AKG a pass. They have a couple of DI boxes that I'll probably pick up for $35 each, so at least it's not a total wash. Cheers, Jason
