Guitar Hero is a video game, plain and simple. It's for amusement like any other video game, and has nothing to do with playing real music. So asking someone why they choose to play Guitar Hero instead of playing a real guitar makes no sense.

Just bought the AD50VT-212. Only problem is, the store didn't have any on hand so I have to wait 2 weeks. Should be good enough for my purposes and then some. Currently I've been recording direct in using VST effects and I'm not impressed.

I own the same CAD mic line, albeit the 7 mic version. I'm a noob but to my ear they sound good. I did have some crackling issues with the bass mic however, that seems to have been corrected. I have a feeling it's the pres going into my soundcard.
