I am trying to do the old CCR song Have you ever seen the rain for a friend. I'm not much of a vocalist, as you can tell, and was wondering if there was some mixing that could be done to improve the song? I recorded it using Audacity and the tracks are here...

Well crap! Too much similarity for my taste. Back to the studio.

Here is a tune I heard in my head and put to music. I used drum tracks but the rest is my doing so I can change them as needed. I used Audacity so I have the individual tracks as well. I'm trying to think of some ideas for lyrics. What comes to mind when you hear this tune? Rock balled? Ideas...
