Hey guys,
I've been pushing for our worship band to get a lot more organized and finally I was put in charge to make a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel of songs that the whole band agrees with. I have them sorted by key signature, tempo, etc.
One column I have them sorted by is "date last...
Tuning and comping my own vocals. It forces me to listen to them several times over and I learn what was done right and what could use some improvement.
Sing both louder and with more energy, and once you back off the levels it will really improve your recording. Just don't get so loud that you lose control of your pitch accuracy and proper breathing intervals.
Like this guy said, not too bad. You really should sing louder (yes, even during the verses) and maybe focus on smoother pronunciation there. And when you do a real project, don't mix the vocals quite so loud.

Usually you should be able to hear a melody coming over the music, if not just imagine what your favorite electronic artist would do with your song. From there just record it with a keyboard using a basic sound such as a violin until you finish the song. You'll probably...
Properly implemented compression will work wonders...
Also the harmonic mixing technique HoldenHarris described is definitely good. 2K to 10K is where I would work on getting more vocals and less beat. Also I would totally filter anything below 100 or so Hz on the vocal track. Exact frequencies...
