The buzzing problem is the little printed circuit board (the amp part of the speaker) buzzing at resonant frequency, which is a high bass note, not sure of the note. This is why the speaker buzzes even at pretty low volume.
Hey there!! Saw your post about your YSM-1p's buzzing issues and have the EXACT same issue on one of my units. I did take the woofer off and I checked the cone material, spider, and anything else that might be making that buzzing at the upper bass/low volume levels and found nothing....except an eager Yorkville wanting to sell me 39 dollar cheaper Chinese replacement woofers! I never did notice any "amp board" in there. Can you expand on this amp board and where it is actually located on the speaker? Thanks!
