i just put a 100gig hard drive into my computer, and i only have, from what SONAR says, 10% of my space left. i have 85gigs free on the hard drive. i've made numerous wave data folders.....does SONAR only allow so much space? and can that be changed?

hey, i found a vst vocoder plug-in, and i run SONAR. the place i found it says you need a VSTi-adaptor, probably to run vst effects through direct x or wahtever. but does anyone know where to find this 'adaptor'? thanks

yes. and i've tried numerous ones. a few just....eh, 'generic' ones that came w/ my sm57s, and my b.l.u.e. blueberry cable. same thing everytime.

its the same on every channel. the mic requires 48v, its a large diaphram condenser. i've tried wiggling the cables, but it doesn't work. what happens is that the mic works for a few seconds, then, over on the meter bridge it stays around -10db's, and jumps up to around -4 or so every second...

has anyone used one of these??? they seem like they might be a good buy, but i've only read the press release from alesis. its a dual channel 5 band parametric EQ. Digital, but with analog controls. They also just put out a compressor/limiter at the same prcie ($350). Anyone else interested?

if you're going to be having your cd pressed, check with the place its being made. if you have a MAC - use Quark. PC - photoshop - .tif files.......or some places will take pagemaker.

elle, i'd go with the b.l.u.e. cable. its made for the studio, so it won't give you any hiss or unwanted noise that might come from a cheaper cable. the blueberry is the lowest model in their line of cables, so if you're looking for more than just low noise, you can still spend less than you...

well, i like the b.l.u.e. mic cables. the blueberry is around $30 i think, and is really quiet, and a pretty strong cable, if you're going to be gigging and need your own cables.

call me crazy....but.......CAD M39 plus it has continous variable pickup patterns. :)

here's what i'd do : 1 57 for the snare 2 CAD M39's for overheads (work great!) 1 D112 for the kick then when you get more money you can start close mic'ing the toms and whatnot. but keeping it simple is usually the best approach, and i've had the best luck with these mics.
