A band reunion after 41 years, DJL, and life in general.

Ooooooooook. Number of posts is not equal to experience. As a matter of fact i even have a villagers album in my record collection. I'm just the type of guy who roots for the underdog. But you have to agree that all of the self praise is a little overboard. Oh and stick to engineering. I enjoy...

triton xtreme or motif need help

If u tight on cash get a keyboard workstation 1st then mpc . Mpc is a sampler sequncer. You sample drums and some cats sample long samples with it too. The mpc4000 is newest version out. But its about 3000$ +. Mpc 2000 is still good or u could get an old 3000. A lot of people still use the 3000.

triton xtreme or motif need help

Nah u don't have to have mpc but its the best sequencer you can get. It has most accurate response while keyboard sequencers may have slight delay when chaining sequences

triton xtreme or motif need help

The motif sequencer is harder to learn then say a mpc2000, but its not impossible to learn. I learned it just by using it. I never picked up a manual or went to motifator website. U could always just buy one now and get another later. U can never have too many boards in ya arsenol. They all...

triton xtreme or motif need help

I have a motif and I have used a triton. I like the motif. You really can't go wrong with a motif, triton, or a fantom. They all have same primary sounds edited differently, and sounds exclusive to that company. Motif sequencer takes a little working but once u figure it out it has a nice feel...

    Studio Projects

One thing that I find funny is that this dude alan hyatt is really sensitive about them pea pickin mics. Everbody has to be able to take good criticism. Its funny to read you guys going back and forth like kids. To me it seems like if alan really believed in his products he wouldn't get so...

    ntk mic positioning

I just bought an rode ntk and I'm wondering what's the best postion to record vocals. It seems like if I sing directly in to the capsule it has a harsh sound. Should I record my voice off axis to get better sound with this particular mic. Also how can I tame down the brightness. I am running...
