hi all,
i don't post much on forums, but i come here to search for advice whenever needed. there is a ridiculous amount of info here! so, first i would like to say, "thanks!!" i get all my questions answered without even having to ask, pretty cool.
now, i saw a thread recently that suggested type II casettes were disappearing. i went to the best source i have found (i am a 424 mkIII user), and found their site said they were temporarily out of stock. oh my. well, i called and was told that small production runs are happening due to consumer demand, but the industry wants to let casettes go. they also told me that they just got their order in (this was yesterday, 1/7). i ordered a bunch and thought i should mention the site to the rest of you. they sell tdk sm60 ten packs for $18.90. its the best price i have seen (maybe this is old news to y'all - but worth mentioning anyway?!). the place is called hogwild store, 1-800-464-9453. here is their site:
