Hi folks,this is my first post!I am a semi pro musician and have been home recording for many years.As I love old analouge equipment,I was still using tape up until fairly recently.(Still do)I got a little Tascam DP004 as a gift and have been able to get some quite nice recordings from it but when not using the built in mics and using say an SM58 mic,and when using a guitar etc plugged in the recording levels and therefore the playback levels are really quiet?To get a half decent level I've got the level and the master nearly all the way up and the littled red light is clipping?Has anyone else got one of these and has anyone else had the same problem?Also I wish it had some basic EQ and built in reverb.Can anyone with one of these recommend a small/compact effects unit that works well with it?Just to add some reverb and some Eq.I have been using some guitar pedals but would like a small effects unit to go with it.Thanks folks.
