Will a tape recorded on a Tascam 688 be compatible with the DBX version of the Tascam 238. I have several 688 tapes that I need to transfer to my computer and I do not have the 688. It belonged to a church I used to work for but they have moved and don't know if they still have it or not.
I also have a Tascam 246 that I just replaced both belts in, and while some of my old tapes played fine, sometimes the "take-up reel" side of the cassette would not function - even with new belts. I tried fast forwarding and rewinding and that did not help.
Any suggestions?
