Tascam 424 mk2 not powering up

I bought a broken tascam 424 mk2 tape deck for dirt cheap a while ago, with the intention of fixing it up and getting it working . It doesn’t power up when plugged in. I don’t have too much electrical knowledge, however I heard a fault that could cause it to stop powering up was a problem with the power supply. The power supply is hardwired in, and I tested it with a voltage meter. Seems to work fine. I also checked all the fuses I could see, which didn't look blown and seem to be working fine. At this point I’m not sure what else could be causing the problem. Any one have any ideas?

If you haven't yet, I'd suggest reseating any connectors that you can see when you open it up. Just unplug them and plug them back in a few times. I usually spray some contact cleaner (like Deoxit) into the plugs while I'm doing this as well. A lot of times, they just get oxidized and/or dirty from years of non - use.

Sometimes this is all it is!
