what is the easiest way to transfer your music from tape to a pc for further editing and mixing?

the user manual does not cover this at all

Using an RCA-to-1/8" stereo Y-cable adapter, plug from the Line Outs on the 414 to the Line In on your typical 'puter soundcard. Using recording software, dub your mixes from the 414 to the 'puter into Wav files @ 16-bit/44.1kHz/stereo resolution. Using separate CD authoring software, lay numerous Wav files of your mixes into playlist sequences and burn audio CDs from Wav files on your typical PC. ;) ;)
