stereo bounce/stereo master track

Looking through the DP-008ex manual yesterday and happened to see the section on mono + stereo bouncing- wondering if anyone who's used the stereo bounce approach as well as the mixdown/ mastering approach could tell me what the different results are-i.e.the difference between the stereo master track copied back to 2 tracks in multi band mode and the 2 tracks made w/stereo bounce using R/L panning in terms of the type of mix results on each track....

Having done the former I've seen how the individual source tracks produce two different mixes re-levels/panning in each of the 2 tracks...what about the stereo bounce results?-

How much do things like adjusting the levels/pan position for the R/L tracks effect the result in terms of the stereo field produced, given the fact that only source tracks panned R/L end up on each of the 2 stereo bounce destination tracks.....?
