Record directly to CD

Can someone please tell me the way to record my 424 MK III directly to a CD?

I am picking up "hiss" by recording first to my hard drive.
I would like to skip over that step and go directly to the disk.

As it is now, I have been recording first into the pc via the outputs in the back of the 424.
Then copy that file in the pc onto a CD.

Thank you in advance!

I don't think the problem is your PC unless your soundcard REALLY sucks.

I think your best bet would be skip the 424 and get a decent mic pre(s). I'm assuming you're using it like I used to use my Porta-07, for the mic pres. No amount of reconfiguration is going to change the quality of those, so if you have a quieter soundcard than the 424, the noise from the front end of the setup will always rain on your parade. And it will do the same even if you skip the PC and use a high-quality external burner like the CDRW-5000 or any of its newer cousins.
