Merry Christmas everyone! Just got a Tascam DP-32 SD and looking forward to recording with this bad boy. Although not new to multitrack recording, I'm coming from the computer side (Sonar X3 Producer), this new hardware will create a new work flow I'm sure.

I thought I would throw out a question to you guys regarding your thoughts on how the DP-32 SD would integrate into my existing setup.

I'm hoping it will fit in as a solid "portable" recorder to record vocals, drums, and piano outside of my home studio. Also, if it's straightforward, I may use it more than I do my computer setup as I really enjoyed my older Tascam 4 track tape recorder years ago when I was just starting out in recording.

Current studio setup:
Mackie 12 channel mixer,
Tascam USB 1800 audio interface,
M-Audio Oxygen 61 MIDI Controller,
Roland R-26 portable recorder,
Dell 8700 i7, 24gb ram, 256gb SSD, 3tb hard drive,
A few studio quality mics.

Instruments (not including VST, sound modules, etc.):
Roland Fantom G8 keyboard workstation,
5 string bass, 15 piece drums, piano, and access to remote Roland V-Drums.

Hi Bk,

There are major artists using just the DP32 for high quality demos, etc. I am sure once you have worked with it a while, you will be pleased.
