I've always bought those TDK SM & SMX tapes at G.C. and they're too $#@^%#$# Expensive! I found this place in Los Angeles that ships better tapes than those TDKs in special shells with bridges that improve tracking for 4-tracks! It's called Midnight Tape the tape is a similar Maxell XLII thing that just rocks! With this special shell, my 464 never worked better. The tapes believe it or not are all less than a buck each!
