Fader Noise on 2488

Has anyone noticed any noise when using the faders?

Yesterday while tracking some bass I was fading between 2 mics I was testing to use for the bass and I heard a strange, almost digital type beeping noise when I would fade up and down. It would never do it when I left the faders alone, only when I moved them. Yesterday was also the first time I've noticed it, but I've only been using it for about a month now.

Any ideas on this one?
 
I had to return my first 2488 because of that same thing. It also made a Humming noise when ever I touched the machine any where on the transport controls. I would just return it.
 
Really, hmmm. Rats, not what I was hoping to hear, especially right now.

I haven't heard the humming yet, I'll have to investigate that.
