exporting files on 24sd

I actually have two questions here. Before exporting a song, how do you actually put an "end point" to a song first (or is it even necessary)? Also, is it possible to export a song by simply taking the sd card out and simply putting it in the slot on the PC? Thanks

If you want to export the whole thing (no trimming) then no, you don't have to set points, it assumes a beginning and end. To MASTER you must set in/out. The EXPORT function will consolidate all takes, punches and other edits (which create lots of small audio items) into a single track. It will also insert empty space if needed so the tracks line up properly. Let's say at 02:34 you laid down a bagpipe solo that ends at 03:00. The recorded file would be shorter than the whole song. EXPORT solves that by inserting empty space before and after the solo, otherwise you'd have to manually move that snippet to it's correct place in the timeline in the DAW.

A good rule to apply to always use the AUDIO DEPOT folder ... IMPORT and EXPORT .. and let the DP24 do the work.
