DP-24 burns masters at a low level . . . ???

Like many here, judging from what I've read, I've been bouncing tracks since I was a kid.
Had a few 4-tracks over the years, and have done a fair amount of studio work,

Got the DP-24 two days ago, have recorded a half dozen sngs, and burned two discs.

My issue is not the MIXDOWN volume. That's plenty hot.
It is the MASTER volume. It consistantly is low. And the discs?
You've got to turn the boombox up all the way to 10.

The "manual" doesn't have a "common issues" section. Anybody have a tip for me?

I've had my DP-24 for a week, and I really like it, but I had the same issue the first time I mastered a song. Raising all the in-use faders was the first thing I tried, and it seemed to help.

When you NORMALIZE, and go back to the previous screen, is there any note that normalization has occured?
On my screen, the three effects will be in the green, while the fourth, the NORMALIZATION, screen tab, remains dark.

I put another two hours into it yesterday. MIXDOWN has the stereo punching the reds in the mixdown.

MASTER has a significant DP drop . . . ? ? ? ? ?

I'm not sure what I did, but I'm getting a decent MASTER level now.

After MIXDOWN, I NORMALIZED and then went right into MASTER, and everything was perfect.
