As you all know by reading my last post, I have the Tascam 244 and I was wondering if anyone knew if oyu can bounce tracks on it? I would appreciate an answer. Right now since I don't know how if to if I can I play back the mix onto a tape deck, then play the tape deck back onto the track I ant to bounce the otehr tracks too. I lose a bunch a quality, and it's a pain. Please help me out.

    Unhappy

Very recently my trusty 244 finally passed the point at which I could no longer tolerate the accumulated defects and I replaced it with a 424 MkIII. In a nutshell, Jake, the news is very good. The procedure for bouncing on both machines is identical. Or, to put it another way, you certainly CAN bounce on the old 244. To bounce from 1, 2 and 3 onto 4 just pan everything far right, balance your levels, set the switches to 'tape' and record onto 4 in the normal way. It's as easy as that.
