regarding my DP 008 EX ....

the 9V battery of my elec/acoustic guitar had lasted over a year ...
do not play it electrically all that much.. but as i have begun dabbling w/ the recording, old one died ...
replaced with a standard duracell 9 V, which lasted less than a month ... again,
not much electric use, but more, w/ it attached to the tascam ....is that enough to kill the battery life so qwik ?
and
is there a recommendation for a specific battery ? ( rechargeable is no good, the battery rests inside the body )

thanx :guitar:

If I'm understanding you correctly... Any time you leave a cord plugged in to your guitar, you're draining the battery. It's essentially like leaving a battery device "on" the whole time. If you unplug the cable when you're not using the guitar, the battery life will increase significantly.

What famous beagle said. The preamp in acoustic/electric guitars gets turned on when you plug in that cable. Make sure to unplug the cable *from the guitar* when you're done.
