My first post:)
I've come from a protools backround and hi-lighting and dragging a track is very very simple. My question is how do you do this on the 2488??
And, I've recorded an organ track can i then EQ it without re-recording it?
Thanks,
M

You set IN and OUT points. If you want to copy the part you just "highlighted", you then set a TO point and hit copy.

Of course, just go into the EQ menu.

Did your 2488 not come with a manual?

Thanks Rami,:)
I'm reading through the manual and I like others find it poorly designed. Flipping from page to page, refer to page?? yadder yadder.
I'm finding the machine pretty intuitive tho.

Editing is not the 2488's strong suit. As a stand alone recorder it's nice to have everything in house and all but I've taken to rendering the individual tracks to .wav files and exporting them to my computer for editing, then putting them back on the 2488 for mixing. Kind of a slow process but it works well and I can go into much greater detail with my tracks.
