I'd tend to agree.
I'm wondering now is what's in the works to replace the DP24/32 at this point? Would a Mk2 version with enhanced features be nice & maybe just around the corner? How about a total revamp of the Portastudio concept to something even better than a Mk2? Personally, I'd like to see something that can buss inputs into subgroups before reaching tape. Re-implementing MIDI & bringing back MTC-Slave would be desirable, too.
I've been looking at the Tascam website, kind of expecting something to pop! I'm not sure there's any follow up product to the DP24/32, but I hope so! I'd hate to see this entire innovative line go obsolete.
