Punch In trouble

Hello. I'm using Cubase VST (not 24) on a Mac and I've noticed that every time (well, almost every time) I do a punch that I can hear a faint (but audible) pop right where the punched audio starts. Are there any tricks to punching in audio that will reduce this "pop"? help!

Have you tried punching in ( if you can or already havn`t tried ) slightly before you need to. Set snap to "Off" to give yourself the best chance.
It`s not something I`ve had a problem with so I`m using an educated guess.
