pressing the record button no longer auto plays the song

as described in the tittle I have been setting up a template for my recording sessions to find that when ever I load the template pressing the record button no longer auto plays the song. this is beginning to get frustrating. does anyone know how to solve this issue?
 
On the transport panel click on the SYNC tab and make sure it says SYNC INT. (it should be located to the right of the record button on the transport panel).

Same thing happened to me, my frustration slowly built up over the course of months until I finally snapped and spent some time resolving the bugger :D
