"File exists already"

When I try to make an audio mixdown, I get the message "File exists already", while I'm sure that it doesn't.
If I use another filename it says the same.
Never had this before.
What should I do?
(I am using Cubase Studio 5)

Buy a more legit version of Cubase maybe?

That should not be an issue. Been a long time since Cubase 5 was around...

Gewoon in de winkel gekocht. Ook bij andere opname doet het probleem zich voor. Nogmaals, jaren mee gewerkt, nooit eerder dit probleem gehad.

The test is to save the project into a new folder, including any audio files and then try it again. It could simply be there is a backup or the invisible file that is confusing the export process. If it has worked before (if your dutch is translating properly) then I'd bet Cubase really IS finding a duplicate file - what if you save it with a totally new name? It could be a software corruption issue - so now is the time to upgrade to something less ancient. We are, of course,m and English speaking worldwide membership forum. Posting in Dutch is going to prevent people reading your posts. beste wensen R
