Cubase Deleting Tracks Issue

Mechanical Monkey
I have been using Cubase SX for over a year now, have read all through the manual, but cannot figure out one thing. When recording, if I record a track that I do not want, I delete it - however, it still is saved on my hard drive. As such, I am left with tons of files I will never use. Is there a way to change this preference? Does this happen to others?

There's an option in the audio pool to remove unused files for a project...... you'd use that........

Alternately, you can write your project to a new project, choosing the options to clean up/minimize audio files in the process.....

Thanks Bruce. I had been using File>Cleanup but that wasnt finding everything. I never really used Pool but now I see how helpful it is. Alls I have to do is empty the trash. I just looked up Pools in the manual and see a ton of helpful stuff. Thanks!!
