sound forge 4.5 problem

I record music from my adat to my alesis studio 24 to sound forge 4.5, when I play back the stuff I recorded it's sped up. What do I do to get it to the speed it's at on my adat?
I'm useing rca ins and outs on my board to a m audiophile 2496 sound card.

Sounds like a sample rate problem. What rate are you recording at and at what rate are you doing playback?
 
You were right. Thanks.
Now when I monitor play back through my board the levels are real low on my mixers leds.
I got a new computer w/ a different server so I'm hearclear2 now.
