VSR-880 sync problem with Logic Audio 5.1

Hi all

having some trouble getting Logic to drive the VSR-880 via MIDI Sysex.

I can however get the VSR to drive Logic (weird) - If I press play on the VSR, Logic plays.

Does anyone have info on all the required settings on both machines to make Logic Audio the master ?

any help appreciated
