    Hello this is my first time on BBS, so could anyone give me a little info on the w30, whether it's worth getting one or not, what it's capable of etc.

    I would. I did. I think it's great. 16 track sequencer, sampler, and synthesizer. I've downloaded over 200 floppies for free. Multiple sounds on each floppy. Get a manual, or you will be lost. You can save your own samples to floppy, as well as the songs you record on the sequencer. I went as far as buying a new floppy drive from Roland just in case. You can also get a scsi interface which allows you to use your computer to load sounds and songs. That's something I haven't gotten around to doing yet, but would like to some day. It also has 8 outputs so you can assign certain sounds to certain outputs. I would like to get another one just for a spare.
