BR8 drive busy problem

When trying to record/play my zip drive keeps making a 'clicky' noise and the LCD reads "DISK DRIVE BUSY!" and refusing to perform the alloted task. As the BR8 has been treated with huge amounts of respect I wonder if this merely a problem of overuse. Is this a common problem and has anyone else come across it? Do I need to send it somewhere? Answers on a postcard please...

bad zip?

I got that message once on my BR-8. I was using bad media. The zip disk was shot. I tried lots of other zip disks and they all worked. Havnt had that problem since.
Its a pretty generic message, so maybe this is it maybe its not.
