Hey Pro Tools users, my Pro Tools M-Powered 8 came in the mail today, and after I installed, I found that as of July 7, version 8.0.4 for HD, LE, and M-Powered systems has been released. This version (in theory) brings full, official (not beta) compatibility with 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

This should put many minds at ease (particularly the minds of newbs like me). I'm downloading the 776 MB (!) update right now.

I was over at the DUC (duc.digidesign.com) a week ago and saw that.. glad to finally have an update! I looked at the list of fixes and a lot of the bugs I hadn't even noticed. But nonetheless, having official support for W7 is nice.

So how is win7 working with protools

I was just checking in here to see if the newest release of Protools
really is 100% compatible with Win7.

How about with SL10.6 ?

I'm thinking about trying protools but I'm in no hurry if it doesn't
function on these 2 OS's.

at very least, 8.0.3 LE officially supports snow leopard.

i've been running it on 10.6.4 over here for a while with no problems so far :)

I've run 8.0.4 LE on both Windows 7 Pro 32-bit and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit with no problem.
