I've been making an honest living with a 002, Digimax 48, Apple G5, and 15K worth of Pre's and Mics for several years. Sometimes I cut drums and bass elsewhere to tape, but I would like to start tracking 16 simultaneous tracks with a higher integrity at my own place. I also just tired of seeing my CPU overload every 9 action steps as well. I can keep going at this rate and be happy but I've always been curious what an HD system would do for my world.
Now that PT9 has changed everything, what value does a used HD2 system have? What would be a good price for a used HD system capable of tracking 16 simultaneous inputs? I know there are some PT9 Native HD options now, but I am still in confusion mode with all the marketing.
