Can anyone give me some input with respect to
a) sound quality
b) expandability
c) anything else that would help me in deciding which one to seriously look at for purchasing

See "VM200 users feedback" for my comments on the excellent sound from this machine.
As far as expandability is concerned it appears that two VM200 can be PARALLELLED with the clocks locked together, and could be controlled and synchronised with MIDI messages. The manual says they can be CASCADED 3 deep - i.e. the stereo mix (SPDIF digital output) from the first VM uses 2 of the inputs on the next one. Presumably after that there are synchronisation issues.
