How do i sync my fostex to my sequencer?

I have a sequencer and i want the fostex to either slave to the sequencer as in have whatevers been previously recorded on the fostex be synced to the sequencer or have the sequencer be slaved to the fostex so that i can record on the fostex when i start recording on it.

Do you get me?

If i had vocals i wanted to record to a sequence i made previously and i wanted them to be synced how would i do that?

Is there a tempo map function in the fd4?
Is there a different way of syncing compared to other systems.

And then after recording this stuff on the fd4

how would i have the sequencer slave to the fd4 is there a time code out function?

Im kind of confused please give some advice

this is a great board and its been really helpful to me but i really need to know this information because it is crucial to me

I have a FD-8 but it's essentially the same machine?
