Fostex X-55 low output

Hello,
I'm using the Fostex X-55 for rcording. Right now I'm trying to rum my keyboard into input one, that's all. The problem is I have the faders up to the point of peaking including the master and the output still isn't high. I have my stero hooked up to the stero outs and to get a good volume I have to turn it up three times as loud as when I'm using the radio or CD. Is my four track broken or what am I doing wrong. Please help

Several question arises in your situation.
1- Assuming your keyboard has stereo outs are you hooking up your keyboard in mono?
2-Is the volume on your keyboard at a minimum?
3-Have you tried hooking up your keyboard into any stereo inputs? Have you tried conmnecting the keyboard to a different channel to see if same happens?
4-I'm not sure, but does your mixer have a pfl/solo switch, and if so have you tried it to determine if the volume increases when using pre-post fade?
Hopefully by checking each channel can we determine if thier is a either a prob. with the mixer or keyboard. Good Luck!
