    Hey Fostex cool people,
I'm still on my quest for info on these
analog machines ( thanks for your input
Kristian ) and was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience or ownership
of an E-16 1/2" 16 track reel machine.
Anything, good or bad, that you'd like to
    share would be most helpful.
    Thanks a bunch!

the E16 is the model before the G16. its basically identical. it looks different, different LEDs, Different face. But basically its the same thing, but will be a little bit older.

I had an E16 in 1988. It served me well for 4 or 5 years. I sold it to go ADAT. Never had a bit of trouble with it. Graham Nash did a record on one. Christie McVie did too I think. And, of course, I did a record on one.

    Hey Kristian, Kmar and homrec'rs,
Thanks for the input and I'm gonna' go
for the E-16! I'm really psyched for 16 tracks at home and now I need to shop for
    a mixer...thought the Tascam MB20 B looked
pretty nice. This site is such a great and
helpful resource - keep up the great work
    y'all!
