Ok, I have the Fostex FD-8 and I want to end up with the BEST possible sound that I can from my unit onto Cd.... Without using a computer and without going nuts on high-dollar gear. I have no outboard gear as of yet, other than a Philips Cd-R and I am at a loss as to what I should do to keep the music as "there" as possible... Compression seems to be an important step in tightening up and increasing levels, although, I am not one of those who want "the loudest burn" EVER, I just want it to be as good as what my unit can deliver, ya know?
